Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation Awarded United Way of the Flint Hills Community Partner Grant

The CPRF is proud to announce that it has once again been selected as a recipient of the United Way of the Flint Hills Community Partner grant. This grant, in the amount of $10,500, will support CPRF’s ongoing efforts to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities in the Flint Hills area.

United Way of the Flint Hills is a prominent nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents in the Flint Hills area including Chase, Coffey, Greenwood, Lyon, Morris, Osage, Wabaunsee, and Woodson counties. Through collaborative efforts and strategic investments, United Way of the Flint Hills addresses critical community needs and supports a wide range of programs and initiatives aimed at creating lasting change.

CPRF is honored to receive this grant and the funds will specifically support CPRF’s Equipment Fund and Wheelchair Posture Seating Clinic programs.

The Equipment Fund program assists individuals in obtaining the necessary adaptive equipment and technology to enhance their independence and quality of life. From mobility devices to communication aids, this program ensures that individuals have access to the tools they need to thrive.

Additionally, the Wheelchair Posture Seating Clinic program offers specialized seating assessments and solutions for individuals who utilize wheelchairs. By addressing posture and seating needs, this program helps improve comfort, mobility, and overall health for participants.

United Way of the Flint Hills is part of a community of United Ways across the state that supports these programs. Other United Way supporters include:

Atchison, Central Kansas, Dodge City, El Dorado, Ellis County, Finney County, Franklin County, Harvey County, Independence, McPherson, Reno County, Southeast Kansas, Seward County, Kaw Valley, and United Way of the Plains.
