- Salary: $18-20/hr.
Position Summary:
The Helpdesk Support Specialist is responsible for providing 1st and 2nd level tech support to end users, employing a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. Customer service focus and attitude is critical to the success of this position as well as the ability to effectively communicate with end users. Can resolve technical issues remotely/over the phone as well as locally. A self starter that can work alone, prioritize tasks and can escalate calls to Sr. staff when problems exceed level of experience. Document and develop support methods to maintain and improve troubleshooting skills. Opportunity to assist Sr. staff with network and server related projects to resolve problems and improve overall IT environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support for Windows, MS Office, web browsers, email, system administration, iOS, and computer hardware
- Respond to support requests in a courteous and friendly manner
- Research, resolve, and respond to questions and issues received from users in a timely manner
- Track time and actions for each Helpdesk request using the Helpdesk Ticket System
- Procure and track IT equipment using IT inventory system
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair or replace computer hardware
- Move, relocate, and setup workstations; printers, copiers and run computer cables
- Install and support various software packages including MS Office, Adobe, etc.
- Ability to deploy and configure remote devices with little supervision
- Keep management informed of any customer satisfaction or relationship concerns
- Communicate effectively and at appropriate times with all levels of staff
- Manage multiple assignments in a very fast past environment
Job Requirements:
- Proven strong commitment to customer service
- Proven strong problem solving and analytical abilities
- Minimum of 2 years working full time supporting Windows based PCs in a business networked environment
- Proven ability to be self-directed
