Job Description & Requirements
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Salary: $18-20/hr.
- Schedule: Day shift, Monday-Friday.
Position Summary:
Responsible for administering the admissions process to the Timbers Apartments such as tours, processing of applications and monitor/follow up with applicants on the Timbers waitlist.
Plan and schedule activities of interest for the Timbers Apartments residents on a monthly basis. Develop, notify and distribute monthly activity calendars to the residents of the activities scheduled. Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
Essential Job Functions:
- Contacts prospective applicants and send admissions paperwork
- Reviews completed admissions application and corresponding paperwork.
- Contacts applicant regarding acceptance or denial
- Sends letter(s) of acceptance or denial.
- Maintains a waiting list.
- Maintain Fair Housing training and certification
- Maintain and Provide a housing resource list for individuals who do not qualify for the Timbers
- Participate in outreach and marketing for the Timbers
- Assist with planning and preparation for Fall Fest.
- Provide staff support to assigned resident committees
- Work with other Timbers staff to maintain communication
- Participate in Safety/Security and Risk Committees
- Plan, hold and notify residents of regular activities on at least a monthly basis and for holidays
- Develop and distribute Timbers newsletter to residents monthly.
- Assist with development and updating of Tenent Selection Plan
- Assists HUD service coordinator in handling residential issues and providing information to residents.
- Will be on-call for the Timbers apartments as needed/in the absence of the HUD Service Coordinator.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements:
EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation, or related areas preferred.
EXPERIENCE: One year or more experience in field of services to developmentally disabled individuals.
SKILLS: Good oral and written communication skills; computer skills. Good time management skills. Self directed. Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal physical exertion. Requires sitting, standing, bending, and reaching. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate machines such as computers, copier, fax machine, and telephone. Requires normal range of hearing and vision. Must be able to meet clients, referral agencies, and other resources in the community and county.
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS: Daily mental concentration required; some creativity required as to assessing methods and procedures. Must handle diverse work problems on a daily basis. Personal maturity and sensitivity are important attributes. Requires adherences to CPRF values regarding diversity and inclusion.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Office environment and residential environments.
