What is #GivingTuesdayNow?
#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving as an emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We all want to know when things will be okay. This virus has made a dark imprint on our lives that we will never forget. It has drastically changed how we live, work, and interact with others.
But there has been a distinct brightness shining through: people selflessly rising to the occasion to help friends, neighbors, and even strangers. You can make a difference too.
Your gift to CPRF will help us continue to provide customized wheelchairs and equipment funding for people with all types of disabilities, from infants to senior citizens, throughout Kansas.
Those we serve need to know they can count on us now, more than ever.
CPRF Wheelchair & Posture Seating Clinic
Wheelchairs are foundational – they improve breathing, swallowing, digesting, and more. We provide custom-built wheelchair seating systems that are designed for each unique user, providing better body alignment, enhancing comfort, and reducing the risk of pressure sores. Since the 1980s, we have built tens of thousands of chairs for those in need. Our facility is one of only two Medicaid-approved seating clinics in the state.
Last year alone, people from 62 counties visited the Wheelchair & Posture Seating Clinic.
Our Equipment Fund
Assistive technology and medical equipment are necessary for people with disabilities to optimally function at work, school, and even at home. However, there is a catch: these items are expensive and are not often covered by insurance. Through this program, CPRF helps families create funding packages for items such as power wheelchairs, communication devices, cranial molding helmets, ramps, and much more.
The Equipment Fund receives more than $1,000,000 in funding requests annually, and funds are typically depleted six months into the year.
Why give to CPRF?
Since 1972, CPRF has proven itself time and time again as a leader in the disability services field. We strive to make life better for Kansans with disabilities. Your tax-deductible gift will help people with all types of disabilities, from infants to senior citizens, receive wheelchair and equipment services.
