Each SACT Business Advisory Council represents the professional community in which the training center is located. By drawing on these premier community business partners, each student's experience is maximized. Council functions include:
- Ensuring that the curriculum meets the market needs in which it is taught. - Identifing potential internships and mentoring students. - Helping to solicit new council members - Assisting in networking the school and its graduates to prospective employers.

Standing Committees In the constant pursuit of perfecting the SACT, Business Advisory Council members play a vital role and further volunteer their talent and resources to several committees.

The BAC Member Recruitment Committee shall be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Developing BAC member recruiting materials as needed. - Contacting and distributing informational materials to prospective members. - Maintaining the current BAC member roster. - Providing brief reports of activity to the BAC at quarterly meetings.

The Customer Service and Employability Skills Committee shall be responsible for, but not limited to:
-
- Identifying key competencies for success in the workplace. - Developing curriculum to address key competencies. - Developing Employability Skills classroom calendar. - Assisting with mock interviews of program participants. - Identifying potential speakers for Employability Skills topics. - Providing brief reports of activity to the BAC at quarterly meetings.

The Training in Realistic Work Settings Committee shall be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Identifying types of employment that clients would have skills to perform. - Recruiting employers who could provide training opportunities. - Arranging opportunities for training in realistic work settings. This may include company tours, job shadowing, on-the-job training and internships. - Providing brief reports of activity to the BAC at quarterly meetings.

The Labor Market Research Committee shall be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Analyzing the current labor market needs on a semi-annual basis. - Ensuring that labor market analysis is consistent with the current and projected local employment opportunities identified by the local workforce investment board. - Providing brief reports of findings to the BAC at quarterly meetings.
