Business Advisory Council

Each SACT Business Advisory Council represents the professional community in which the training center is located.  By drawing on these premier community business partners, each student's experience is maximized. Council functions include:

  • Ensuring that the curriculum meets the market needs in which it is taught.
  • Advising on appropriate equipment for the program.
  • Establishing necessary selection criteria for admission to the program.
  • Assisting with interviewing and screening of prospective students.
  • Participating in student performance reviews.
  • Identifing potential internships for students.
  • Soliciting guest lecturers.
  • Providing student mentoring.
  • Helping to solicit new council members.
  • Assisting in networking the school and its graduates to prospective employers.
