Who would benefit from job placement assistance?
Although most of us would benefit from professional job placement assistance, the services offered here are for people with a documented, physical disability who live in Sedgwick County, Kan. We also provide full job placement assistance to all graduates of the Wichita, Kan., or Atlanta School of Adaptive Computer Training regardless of disability status.

Am I required to accept a position if I don’t feel it’s a good one for me?
At the beginning of our job placement relationship, the placement staff will help you clearly identify realistic job expectations based on your qualifications, interests, aptitude, the local market conditions, as well as your education, experience and skills. Through this process, we are confident that most positions offered to you should meet agreed upon goals. Certainly you will not be required to take a position that does not line up with stated objectives. With this said, we do encourage development of a work history which may require accepting entry-level employment in some cases. As a condition of entering the CPRF School of Adaptive Computer Training, all graduates are required to obtain employment.

Is there a time limit on how long you’ll work with me?
Our goal is to work with you until we meet an agreed upon employment objective. For some people this happens quickly. For others, it may require an extended period of time. Bottom line is that we will work with you as long as you work with us. When appropriate employment is located, we will follow up on your progress for 12 months.
