“We’ve been using Timber Lines for transport to doctor appointments since Mrs. P became so fragile that we could no longer get her into and out of the car without injury to her or ourselves. Timber Lines has been a God-send to us.”

Timber Lines Transportation Services

Getting around our community can be difficult for many of our customers. Timber Lines Transportation Service provides easy, accessible and affordable transportation for people with disabilities and special needs throughout the city of Wichita to gain and enhance personal independence.

Since becoming a vendor for Sedgwick County Transportation Services in 1998, Timber Lines has consistently provided people throughout the Wichita community a premier wheelchair accessible service.

Today, the Timber Lines team is a recognized advocate for personal independence – with a voice in local, state and national forums.

In the beginning, Timber Lines provided services only to residents of the Timbers apartments and restricted its service to northeast Wichita. After joining forces with the Sedgwick County Transportation program, Timber Lines expanded its dispatch of fully accessible vans to cover the greater Wichita area Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Inside the bus

A specially designed vehicle, Timber Lines offers safe, comfortable transportation services.

Time and again, research shows that accessible transportation is one of the most important services that people with disabilities need to live in their own homes and be active in their communities.

The actual cost to provide this service is high and is subsidized by limited state, county and city dollars. This is why Timber Lines professionals continue to actively seek alternative funding sources, whether to help pay for individual rides, acquire new vans or cover operational shortfalls.
