Adult Day Services Providing services for adults with disabilities, including personal care monitoring, socialization, and educational and recreational activities that promote their preferred lifestyle, personal growth and integration into the community
CPRF Adult Day Services is licensed by the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services to provide day services to individuals who have completed their Kansas Individual Education Plan or are at least 18 years old. Customers include people with a variety of disabilities, such as mental retardation, speech, hearing or vision impairment, seizure disorders, or conditions and illness that cause physical impairments. To meet the needs of their customers, Adult Day Services professionals focus on providing dignified, compassionate and individualized care that promotes preferred life-style choices, personal growth and community integration.
In addition to its managing staff, the Adult Day team includes a consulting registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, consulting physical therapist, certified rehabilitation aide and direct support professionals. Direct support professionals receive continuous training and development to ensure the highest quality customer care.
Two distinctive programs work to meet a diverse range of individual abilities -- the Kenneth J. Wagnon Life Skills Center and the K.T. Wiedemann Adult Learning Center. Each program uses a variety of tools for engaging experiences. Although transportation for planned community outings is provided by Adult Day Services, customers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the program facility. If a resident provider or family member cannot provide this transportation, Wichita Transit or CPRF Timber Lines Transporation Services may be options to consider.
